A Masterpiece from

Alfred Montgomery

A substantial and monumental work from Alfred Montgomery (Kansas, 1857-1922). Unique to this piece is the split-rail fence post framing which was a hallmark of Montgomery, yet few if any survive to this day.

One of the largest pieces every to surface, the work exhibits all of the artist’s trademark style and subjects. A one-owner lineage, the painting was acquired directly from the family who commissioned it from Montgomery in the early 20th Century. Truly a museum-worthy work. Currently undergoing cleaning and minor restoration.
